Vyshakh Abraham Film Pokkiriraja Fast Review

Pokkiri Raja is the most recent movie by the ever green Mammootty. However there is another old Tamil movie (1982) by this same name by Rajnikant. A movie with out tale and reason. However, it is going to be a new hit in Tamil and Malayalam as it is a crowd entertainer. The people is wanting for such movies rather than fine films. There was time when Mammooty used to act only good malayalam films, however at present the super star is trying to maintain equilibrium between both ends.

The narrative of Pokkiriraja is very unclear. Pokkiri Raja movie is about two sons Raja and Surya (Mammootty and Prithviraj) of an idealistic school teacher who turn into dadas. One of them run away from home and become a big dada while the other stays at home and become a local dada. The entire plot is built around two feudal families fighting over a temple festival in a village; a typical tamil movie style.

Later on the two dadas meet in a big city and sparks fly as they do not identify that they are brothers. Nothing new about the story if it is there. Newcomer Vyshakh is doing the direction.

The dialogues go like this: Mammootty states he is not insecure of the childish Prithviraj as he has just started taking little steps. The whole narrative where the two actors share the screen are interspersed with such conversation.

And, when Prithviraj talks about the costume code in night clubs, the elder one claims that he has been the style icon for the youngsters for a long time. This goes on and on.

Both Mammootty and Prithviraj have ample scope to gratify their hardcore followers. Mammootty dances and uses his broken English to induce laughter as has been the trend in recent times.

Prithviraj packaged as a wholesome entertainer does not disappoint. One just hopes that this manufactured worship does not go to his head. Editor have done a fantastic job by picking all those small romantic sequences from a lengthy movie and compile to a attractive to watch 3 mints video as the song “Manikkinavin”. Slick presentation and some action scenes which are bound to go well with the masses are the highlights of this movie. All in all for the true viewer, it is a disappointment. The story revolves around 4 buddies Shahid Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Vir Das, Chang trying to get rich quick. Housefull is Housefull

Being the first release after the 2 month dry spell at film theatres post IPL, audiences were enthusiastically awaiting a picture. While in whole it does fall short of being the big huge summer entertainer that it is been claiming to be, it though manages to cause a lot of laughs for you. However, ultimately it settles down in familiar territory.

Sajid, who also wrote the film, strains too strong to add humour to all frame. He resorts to the everyday gay and Gujarati gags. The two things you expect from Housefull are non-stop laughter and non-stop entertainment. That’s because the promos of the movie have previously given you an inkling of what to expect from this film.

To give Sajid due recognition, he has created many rip roaringly comic situations that are further elevated by his actors. Most hilarious sequences are done by Akshay Kumar and Ritesh and displays amazing chemistry in that. Also Every actor in this film takes the film to the next level.

It’s not merely an assemblage of funny sequences or a mere montage of comic scenes. The story is about pretenses, and how in the name of saving one’s face and popularity, lies lead to larger lies, stemming from wanting to impress family members. Housefull narrates the story of Aarush (Akshay Kumar), the world’s unluckiest man. Aarush is in quest of true love to turn over his bad luck for good. In the process he gets married to the rich mans daughter Jiah Khan. After the first marriage he meets Sandy (Deepika Padukone) who also falls in love with Akshay Kumar. But complications follow thereafter as Sandy’s brother, Major Krishna Rao (Arjun Rampal) and Hetal’s (Lara Dutta-bobs wife) father, Batuk Patel (Boman Irani) enter the scene. How Aarush and his friend Bob (Riteish Deshmukh) come out of this jumble, forms the core of the movie.

All those who felt that the actor tends to grow loud or wishes to be restricted will alter their opinion with this film. Riteish is extremely usual. The story’s main focus is Akshay, eben though Riteish stands shoulder to shoulder with the hero. Next Arjun Rampal does a fantastic job as well. Deepika is a surprise. She carries her part with awesome confidence and again, post Om Shanti Om and Love Aaj Kal, Housefull is the film that would make public spot her skills as well as beauty. Lara is a experienced person when it comes to comedies and she’s too good yet onceagain. Her scenes with Riteish in particular and also with Boman are first-rate. Jiah is a revelation.
